About Us

Tennessee Cheesecake is a family-owned frozen dessert manufacturer located in Lebanon, TN. We make high-quality desserts for the foodservice and restaurant industry. We are looking to add members to our production team who will thrive in a small-business, team-oriented culture. No experience is required, but experience in food production or similar manufacturing is a plus. These are full-time positions that will require a flexible work schedule, including overtime. A Note About Our Work Schedule

We have one shift that starts at 6 a.m. (must be on the floor, ready to work). Due to the nature of our business, the production schedule (days worked and end times) changes from day-to-day and week-to-week. The schedule is subject to change on a frequent basis. This allows us to ensure that all orders are met for our customers. We require our production team to be flexible and willing/able to meet these schedule requirements.


Production Associates (1st Shift; Full Time) - $12/hour starting, Health Insurance & PTO

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Line Supervisor, the Production Associate is responsible for all operations, set ups, adjustments on his/her equipment, and general labor on the production line. Duties include, but are not limited to: Operating process machinery and equipment; cleaning and sanitation; effective and respectful communication with team members and Line Supervisor. This is a fast-paced food production environment with hourly and daily goals that must be met.

The position requires that an employee be capable of the following:

  • Ability to work Monday through Friday and overtime.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must work closely with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in English effectively.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks at a fast pace in a standing position for the entire shift;

The position requires an employee to perform essential functions of the job, including but not limited to the following duties:

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and hygiene practices.
  • Prep trays and pans, scale crust, remove product from pans, make boxes, pack product into boxes, tape cases, stack cases.
  • Operate the production and packaging equipment in a safe and timely manner (our process is primarily manual with machine-assistance).
  • Inspect the product to insure customer requirements are met.
  • Participate in equipment and area cleaning in a safe and timely manner.
  • Locate and retrieve raw materials and packaging.
  • Participate in operator-based machine maintenance and care.
  • Participate in training programs.
  • Safely use and dispose of cleaning agents and chemicals.

Dishwasher (second shift)

POSITION SUMMARY

This is not your typical restaurant dishwasher position! Reporting to the Baking Supervisor, the dishwasher is responsible for properly washing and sanitizing dishes and equipment in an industrial production environment. The dishwasher completes these tasks both by handwashing items in a three-hole sink, and by running items through industrial dishwashing machines. We are looking for someone who cares about the quality of their work and the cleanliness of their environment, and is able to work through a high volume of dishes and equipment on a daily basis.

The position requires that an employee be capable of the following:

  • Ability to work Monday through Friday and overtime.
  • Ability to work second shift, starting at 12 p.m. each day and ending when the assigned work is completed.
  • Must be able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Must work closely with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stoop, squat, bend, stretch as needed throughout shift.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in English effectively.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks at a fast pace in a standing position for the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to work in a constantly wet environment.

The position requires an employee to perform essential functions of the job, including but not limited to the following duties:

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and hygiene practices.
  • Participate in equipment and area cleaning in a safe and timely manner.
  • Participate in training programs.
  • Safely use and dispose of cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Operate large industrial dishwashing equipment.
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment, equipment parts, trays, pans, smallwares, and other dishes in a timely manner.
  • Return all clean equipment and dishes to proper storage area and maintain organization.
  • Work with the Baking Supervisor to prioritize each day’s tasks and meet each day’s goals.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Baking Supervisor, the Mixer is responsible for operating industrial mixers to produce crust and filling for products, and must meet daily and hourly goals. This position is critical to the operation and requires the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position requires that an employee be capable of the following:

  • Ability to work Monday through Friday and overtime.
  • After training, employee must be able to mix, inspect, and operate machines.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must work closely with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75-100 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in English effectively.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and comprehend weights and measurements.
  • Must be able to perform basic math equations.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.

The position requires an employee to perform essential functions of the job, including but not limited to the following duties:

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and hygiene practices.
  • Operate the production equipment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Inspect the product to insure customer requirements are met.
  • Participate in equipment and area cleaning in a safe and timely manner.
  • Locate, retrieve, and scale raw materials.
  • Participate in operator-based machine maintenance and care.
  • Understand and input data into product tracking system (record keeping).
  • Participate in training programs.
  • Safely use and dispose of cleaning agents and chemicals.
